A Love That Changes Us John 21
Aug 30, 2026 • Pete Nelson
In John 21, we see the risen Jesus meet Peter in the aftermath of his greatest failure. Through three questions and three invitations to “feed my sheep,” Jesus shows Peter that his love has not changed, and that loving Jesus means loving the people Jesus loves. Peter's failure didn't change Jesus—it changed Peter, and Jesus' restoring love transformed him into a disciple who could follow him and eventually lay down his life. A Love That Changes Us reminds us that we don't have to prove ourselves to God; his love changes us and sends us outward to love others.
