“The Second Sermon Ever on Reading Books?” (9/6)

Reading fiction allows us to see with other eyes, to feel with other hearts, and to have space in our own eyes and hearts awakened.  Don’t say you, “I don’t read.”  Learn to utilize these treasures that can be found for free in books and audible books.

“The First Sermon Ever on Reading Literature?” (8/30)

Pastor Boog shares about the importance of reading literature other than the Bible. This first installment focuses on non-fiction literature.

Proverbs 1:7 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom.

But, it’s not the end of acquiring wisdom.

Branches Fall Strategy 2020

It is so easy to think of our faith community as only a Sunday morning service. Our hope is that this time can be transformative for Branches, calling us back to the heart of what it means to be the Body of Christ: Loving God, Loving Each Other, and Loving our Neighbor – Together. Sunday morning services are suspended for the Fall. But, we are so much more than a Sunday morning gathering. Here we share the Fall Strategy for Being the church instead of waiting to Do church.

“How To Make a Decision.” (8/23)

Pastor Boog goes back to the Harbor where he proposed to his wife to discuss the process of decision making as a Follower of Jesus.

Who We Want To Be

We want to know Jesus. We want to see a new life in us, our friends, and in people who have never had a faith or have been hurt by the church. We want to be a people of welcome and laughter, of faith and hope and love, friends and family, justice and changed lives. We can’t change your life, but we know who can. We want to be a people where the homeless know they can find food, the broken can find healing, and the rejected feel at home. It’s where one group is working to care for local drug addicts and another is training teachers in another country. We know that no church is like this all the time, including us. But we refuse to give up. He is the Vine; we want to be His Branches.
