Jesus said He was anointed and sent “to proclaim good news to the poor, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the prisoners.” (Isaiah 61:1) As His followers, we must do the same. Although there are so many amazing groups and organizations changing the world, we have listed here the partners we work alongside. They are all members of Branches who are working to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Awareness Cambodia

Awareness Cambodia Inc. was established in 1996 by Perth dentist, Dr. Gary Hewett, in response to the incredible suffering and poverty experienced by the Cambodian people after the execution of 25% of its population under Khmer Rouge leader, Pol Pot.

This experience birthed Awareness Cambodia and for over a decade now, we have worked on the ground targeting the ever-changing needs of Cambodia. Ideas such as Sunshine House, Eco-Farm, House of Progress, Operation Nightingale and the Internet Café have been our first steps to seeing a dream become reality. If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that ordinary people like us can make a difference. I invite and look forward to your joining in our mission; building a better, brighter future for Cambodia.

La Red – El Salvador

La Red is a grassroots mission to the people of the El Tunco and El Zonte areas of coastal El Salvador. Initially, local Salvadorians, the Castellanos family, started the group, Christian Surfers in El Salvador. After the many non-surfing poor and broken children and their families started attending the gatherings, the Castellano’s saw there was a separate need that had to be addressed. Thus began the planting of the church, La Red – a holistic mission to the children and families of their regional area.

La Roca Ministries

La Roca Ministries and its staff have been reaching and touching people’s lives since 1998 — people who have been devastated by poverty, neglect, and despair. These individuals find themselves enslaved to drugs, alcohol, or prostitution and living on the streets of Tijuana, Mexico. Our desire is to mirror Christ’s love, compassion and concern to these people of all ages.

It has been said, “give a person a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a life.” We believe in “teaching people how to fish”. We desire to see lives transformed and we believe that comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our program seeks to help rebuild lives by making disciples; raising up men, women, and teens as future leaders and missionaries, and sending them forth to advance the Kingdom of God on earth.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
